Please tell me anything about Bayonetta's 3 story./r/Games is for informative and interesting gaming content and discussions. It just goes against their characterization.Įdit: To add onto this, while Bayonetta's story between 1 and 2 was more of a plot that was easy to shut your brain off to, it was clearly well thought through. It's like saying the story doesn't matter in Metroid games and then being ok with how Samus was depicted in Other M. Bayonetta in 1 and 2 has the "As long as there's music I'll keep on dancing!" vibe and it's quite endearing. These didn't really happen in the first two titles, so when a cutscene starts and Bayonetta gets injured by something comparatively minor, or just stares as she watches someone get killed, it really stands out. Her personality doesn't show nearly as much in this and she falls to the "turn your back to the enemy in a cutscene" scenario like every five minutes. It's not just the story, but the character writing. I enjoy how 1 and 2 set up that loop together, and I adore Bayonetta's attitude towards it all. I actually really like Bayonetta's story. I can understand that statement, but I disagree.
